Buy from us at off-licence prices
We import some superb wines and add modest mark-ups which makes us competitive with even the online suppliers. We can't compete with the supermarkets at the lower end, but our fixed mark-up system makes the middle-priced wines we have chosen us very good value indeed.
Apart form the quality, a huge advantage of buying from us is that you don't have to worry about under or over-ordering, delivering on the morning of the event, or loading up the left-overs after the party. All our wine off-sales are made on sale-or-return. Full wine list and tasting notes.
Wine must be pre-ordered. Any not used will be refunded after the event. How this Works
Bring your own
At Cripps you can bring your own drink, with no corkage charge - your only costs are the bar staff to serve it. Please don't buy white wine or Champagne on sale-or-return though - the labels get damaged in the ice baths and the wine merchant then won't take them back.
Please arrange delivery between 1000 and 1100 on the morning of the event. We strongly recommend for security reasons that left-overs are removed on the night, but if you choose to take the risk of leaving them on the premises then they must be removed between 0900 and 0945 the next day to leave access for the incoming delivery and avoid any muddle-ups of stock.
Have an evening cash bar
Most of our customers ask us to provide a licensed bar in the evening. We are always happy to do this, providing that, if you have brought your own drink for the reception/meal, then all that drink is taken off the tables by our staff by the time that the licensed bar opens - otherwise people tend to stick with the free drink and the licensed bar sells very little.
