On Friday the weather forecast was awful for the next day, and I was feeling as if our big day was going to be completely ruined by the weather, spoiling our dream of being outside on the terrace, enjoying the sunshine, whilst sipping a chilled glass of champagne. How wrong could I be. I was worried that the barn would be cold, and as we were all in our summer finery, we would be shivering, but to my delight a fire had been lit - hooray ! A wet, cold summer's day had been turned into a cosy venue. When all the guests had arrived the doors were closed and the horrid weather was banished. From then on everything was wonderful, the flowers were amazing, the food excellent, the setting magical, the staff brilliant. We have had so many comments, that it was one of the best weddings people had been to. For us, the parents of the groom, it was a truly wonderful day with no BUTS, just very happy memories. Although Mark instilled confidence and Alison responded to my emails promptly and re-assuringly, I still wondered if anything would go wrong on the day. My fears were totally unfounded. The barn and marquee looked wonderful, the food was excellent but above all the staff were superb. They were efficient, pleasant and yet unobtrusive and they could not do enough to ensure that the day went smoothly and easily for us. C... and T... were over the moon and my husband feels it was the best wedding we have ever been to. For me, it was one of the happiest weekends of my life. Please convey our thanks to everyone, however large or small their role. It was their combined efforts which made the day such a huge success."

All the staff were superb, friendly and approachable which helped create the magical atmosphere. We would especially like to thank both Mark and Jenny for their help and attention to all the detail that we requested which made the day extra personal to ourselves and our guests. The food was delicious...several guests have remarked on how good it was, particularly that the lamb was cooked to perfection! The candles in the walls, and the way you had lit up the tree's outside made it look so beautiful and helped create an incredible atmosphere.
